About Numerus

Editorial methodology, AI use and corrections

How Numerus separates calculations, sources and interpretation, uses AI, checks translations and records review. Includes the current limits of reporting corrections.

A calculation, a sourced fact and a symbolic interpretation need different checks. Numerus does not treat a correct sum as proof of a personality claim, or a practitioner's published belief as a verified fact about the reader.

This page describes the editorial rules and the checks implemented in the project. The material was prepared with AI assistance. Our editorial standard requires human review of both the Romanian and English versions before publication. Substantial changes require a fresh review. Details for corrections are on the contact page.

What does the page resolve?

Before drafting, we define the reader's question and the useful difference from other pages. A new title does not justify repeating the same article.

Assessing usefulness requires editorial judgment.

What happens before an article is written

Each page starts with a reader problem and a specific outcome. The brief must explain what this page adds that another Numerus page does not already supply. A different keyword, number or title is not enough on its own.

For a number profile, the useful distinction includes where the number appears, which inputs produce it and how its interpretation changes with that position. For a method guide, it may be the first step where two conventions diverge. A short answer is not expanded just to reach a word count.

The working brief identifies the method, sources, example or comparison, limits, localized links and any allowed next step. It also identifies claims the article must not make. Unresolved evidence is a reason to narrow a claim or leave the draft unapproved, not to invent an answer.

Four kinds of statement

StatementWhat it needs
Historical or technical factA source that supports that particular claim, with uncertainty left visible.
Selected calculation conventionAgreement with the implemented method and its displayed steps.
Symbolic interpretationAttribution to the tradition, a connection to the relevant position and no unsupported personal inference.
Limit or disagreementA clear explanation of what is unknown, disputed or not established.

Practitioner writing can document what a practitioner teaches. It cannot, by that fact alone, demonstrate that the teaching predicts events or describes personality accurately. Technical sources support technical behavior, not the numerological interpretation attached to it.

The public source list identifies the works consulted, their authors or publishing organizations, and links. Inspected passages, the claims they support and their limits are kept in internal research records. Romanian and English use the same source identities. A bibliography does not replace checking the text against its sources.

What AI does here

AI assistance has included source discovery and synthesis, outlining, drafting, translation and revisions. That is substantial involvement, not merely spelling correction. The disclosure appears with the editorial content.

AI may produce an inaccurate claim, a misleading summary, awkward Romanian or fluent but interchangeable interpretation. Its own review does not count as human approval. The shared byline Numerus Editorial Team identifies the project's editorial model; it does not represent an invented expert's biography.

The standard prohibits fabricated research, credentials, testimonials and client experiences. It also prohibits copying another writer's recognizable voice. The aim is direct, warm explanation with little metaphor, not simulated intimacy or claims to know the reader's inner life.

Where the numbers come from

The calculator follows the declared rules of the modern Western variant used by Numerus. We keep a history of these rules in the technical documentation so that a future change can be distinguished from an earlier calculation.

The engine defines the accepted alphabet, normalization, vowel classification, component reductions and master-number stopping points. Editorial calculation components call that engine to display examples and their steps. Tests check known results and edge cases, including leap dates and name handling.

This separation matters when an article is edited: changing a sentence must not silently change the mathematics. Conversely, a method change requires reviewing the affected examples and explanations. Arithmetic verification does not validate the symbolic claims; the evidence guide addresses that separate question.

English and Romanian are reviewed as a pair

The two versions must preserve the same evidence, method, uncertainty and practical meaning. They need not use identical sentence structure. Romanian should read as Romanian, not as an English paragraph with translated words.

Automated checks compare page identity, source metadata, required fields, related pages and localized links. They also check for missing translations, contradictory review metadata and strongly similar article bodies. These checks catch certain defects. They do not establish that the translation sounds natural, that two interpretations are genuinely distinct or that a source was understood correctly.

Those judgments require human review of both versions. The owner’s confirmation applies to the version they read, not automatically to later changes. A successful build, on its own, does not represent editorial approval.

Review, publication and dates

The editorial standard calls for review of factual accuracy, calculation agreement, specificity, voice, autonomy, localization and usefulness before publication. An interpretation that could be moved unchanged between several number profiles should be revised around a real distinction or removed.

The content contract keeps creation, first publication and substantial review dates separate. A draft's creation date is not a publication or approval date. The public release check requires the planned page pairs to be present, published and marked as human-reviewed with the relevant dates.

That check verifies recorded metadata, not the identity or diligence of a reviewer. The owner must ensure that the recorded approval actually happened.

Dates must not be refreshed simply to make a page look new. Changes to a formula, factual claim, source interpretation or substantial section justify renewed review. A spelling correction does not justify suggesting that the whole article has been reassessed.

Corrections: what is available now

For a correction, write to contact@numerus.ro. The contact page explains which details help us check a report.

A useful report identifies the page, the sentence or calculation step at issue, and the source or reproducible example that explains the concern. Use an illustrative input rather than sending your real name, birth date or another person's information.

The intended correction process is to reproduce the issue, check the source or rule, revise both affected locales and repeat the relevant tests. A substantive correction also requires a fresh human review and an honest update date. We do not promise a fixed response time.
